THE 1ST UK RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY & PROSTHODONTIC CONFERENCE
BETTER PATIENT CARE THROUGH COLLABORATION
A JOINT ONLINE CONFERENCE OF THE BSRD, BSSPD, RD-UK & SRRDG
In view of the ongoing uncertainty with regard to future regulations designed to prevent the spread Covid 19, the organising committee of the BSRD /BSSPD/RDUK /SRRDG joint conference took the decision to run the conference as a virtual event. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of delegates, speakers and faculty and to prevent the possibility of transmission of the Coronavirus . The exciting program features nationally and internationally renowned speakers and will deliver high quality education using an interactive on line platform. We look forward to seeing you in March 2021.

SRRDG Summer Study day: Hands-on Cadaver Course: Oral Anatomy and Implant Placement: 22nd July 2019. Newcastle.
Dear SRRDG members!
I am delighted to advertise our SRRDG summer Study day taking place on Monday 22nd of July 2019 in Newcastle.
This year we are running a hands on course on Oral anatomy and Implant placement at the surgical suite in the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. This is a human cadaver course which has previously run to popular demand. The session is mainly practical with a chance to practice implant placement, improve soft tissue skills and identify key anatomy.
We have limited capacity and only have 18 places and expect a high demand so bookings will be first come first serve. The cost is £350 per person. Please see our flyer for details of the program and on how to book onto the course.
Many thanks!

Dear SRRDG members!
We are hoping to have a number of great webinars for you to enjoy this year.
The first webinar date is confirmed at the 1st May 7:30-8:30pm.
Professor Philip Benson, Professor and Honorary Consultant in Orthodontics at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, will be talking to the SRRDG on topics relating to the orthodontic restorative interface.
I particular I have suggested topics which SRRDG members might find useful including:
-
Hypodontia - Situations in which orthodontists prefer to open or close spaces and examples of orthodontic limitations when approaching joint cases.
-
Orthodontic approaches, challenges and options for managing traumatic occlusions and limitations in reducing overbites.
-
Realistic methods for extrusion of teeth to attain restorability for example traumatised tooth with subgingival fracture line.
-
The adult dentition what challenges does this pose to the orthodontist including periodontally involved and endodontically treated teeth and orthodontics.
We will be using the 'goto' software programme, same as last year, and a link will be send around for registration in the coming weeks.
Many thanks!
