Section 3: Terms of Office
The Chairperson and Honorary Secretary shall be elected for two years whilst all other members will be elected for one year of office. The election of Chairperson and Honorary Secretary shall be on alternate years.
Section 4: Election of the Council
The election of the Council shall be by ballot at the AGM of the Group. Nominations, proposed and seconded by members of the Group, must be received in writing by the Secretary prior to the commencement of the AGM. In contested elections the proposer will provide a verbal presentation to the AGM in support of the nominee. The voting shall be collected on a confidential ballot paper completed by the members of the Group.
Section 5: Honorary President
The Group shall nominate and elect an appropriate person to the post of Honorary President to serve for a period of one year. This ideally should be a person linked to the host of the conference the next year. The term of office can be renewed annually. |
