• Clinical Audit
In common with their colleagues, Consultants in Restorative Dentistry are active in the field of clinical audit, establishing indices of treatment need and measures to assess the outcome of treatment procedures. The ACSRD and specialist societies have contributed to the audit process by producing guidelines on appropriate care. These activities are being strengthened nationally and through local multi-professional audit to ensure the maintenance of appropriate standards.
• Clinical Governance
 Clinical governance is defined as corporate accountability for clinical performance and is about standards of quality. As an organisation involved with health care the ACSRD has already set up leadership and accountability arrangements for clinical governance nationally. The Association aims to be involved with assessing its' present capacity for quality improvement. |
