Association of Consultants and Specialists in Restorative Dentistry
The legal organisations in their dental work have to deal with many more restorative problems arising from General Dental Practice than with other forms of dental care. If a General Dental Practitioner anticipates difficulty with a surgical or orthodontic case, he has access to Consultant advice and the problem can be forestalled, or at least shared. In Restorative Dentistry, without adequate access to Consultant advice, he has to tackle the problems alone and more frequently encounters difficulties.

For these reasons, heavy demands are made on the time of Consultants in Restorative Dentistry to contribute to postgraduate courses and training programmes for Dental Practitioners and Community Dental Officers.
